Unlocking the fascinating world of connectivity with application-specific ICs

September 16, 2021 | Webinar on demand

The world is getting more and more connected. But what does that mean? It’s not just about connecting people with people, but also connecting people with devices and devices with other devices. The big intelligent network – Internet of Things (IoT) – is established. Devices in that network interface at different network levels such as 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth and many more.

In this imec.IC-link webinar, we will present the future trends and visions and explain why application-specific ICs – so called ASICs – can be the best way to realize your ‘connected’ idea.

Why use an ASIC for connected solutions?

Application-specific ICs are ideally suited to customize connected solutions. By reducing form factors and integrating sensing and communication features, they allow you to:

  • enhance the data exchange from the device to the world,
  • improve the wireless capability for the users,
  • protect your IP.

This webinar will present the latest technology trends in connecting devices and solutions, illustrated with ASIC examples from prototype development to commercial products.

What you will learn:

  • Why is an ASIC the most disruptive technology to innovate in your connect solution?
  • What are the key steps to ASIC development?
  • How can innovators get support to realize their idea in silicon?

This webinar is designed for non-technical and technical experts in 5G, WiFi and IoT who want to increase their knowledge of ASIC technologies.
